The anti cheap plinking ammo scum at the BATFE have officially banned 7n6 ammo http://www.atf.gov/press/releases/2...and-classification-7n6-545x39-ammunition.html

for every one who reads this and cares about you 2nd Amendments rights please contact your elected officials and the gun groups you are affiliated with about this... I'm surprised the NRA who is so quick to ask for $$$ isn't raising heck about this or the GOA... only 1 congresscritter has said something about it so far... today it's 7n6 and you may not care because you don't shoot an AK-74 but tomorrow it may be what you shoot... we all need to stand together or hang seperatly. thanks, Johnny

"the ammunition is “armor piercing” under the section 921(a)(17)(B)(i) and is therefore not importable. ATF’s determination applies only to the Russian-made 7N6 ammunition analyzed, not to all 5.45x39 ammunition. Ammunition of that caliber using projectiles without a steel core would have to be independently examined to determine their importability"

No new infringement here. The problem is the GCA. They're just enforcing it on some ammo that had been slipping past it. There's already plenty of people that want to abolish the the GCA, which is probably why you're not seeing any big outcry over this.

the ban was made official today. it's important to me as that's one of my favorite platforms... sucks to lose cheap and good ammo.
