Three letters: B M G
Very high NEAT factor and something like the Barret M82(??) is on my list of maybes but not this year. OTOH what could I get in .50 BMG for $1500 to $2K?.How about something in .50 BMG?
Now that's an interesting idea and I know just where I can get one in OKC - if it's still there.Of course, you seem to be missing one of these:
I've considered this in the past. Just can't get by the paying the goobermint $200 each for a couple of what should be $20 cans. I know they cost a lot more than that but that's because of the low government iinduced demand. The feds get way too much of my money now. I ain't givin' the suckers any more than I have too. Nice idea though. If you don't mind the paperwork, and your state is friendly, I'd get a .22 suppressor and have your barrels threaded.
???? I'm not ashamed to admit I haven't heard of either of those. What are they?GSG-5, or way different FN PS-90
On the list...If you like old timers how about an 1874 Shiloh Sharps in say 45/90?
10mm - thought about that one for years. Nice cartridge and a Delta Elite in 10mm would be nice but for now my .40 will do fine. The S&W 500 is on the list.lets see glock 20 (10mm)
s&w 500 mag
On the list now. And true and true...percussion revolver a'la 1851 revolver or such.....
They are all TONS of fun, and it looks like it would be something new and different from what you have.

As for full auto - I could pick up a Mac-10 for about $3.5K and would if there was any place to shoot it around where I live. The gun club I'm a member of doesn't allow it and neither do any of the public ranges in the OKC area that I'm aware of

single action said:you have 2 .45 colt revolvers, ya gotta get them a .45 lever rifle! isnt there some kinda law about that?
MaterDei said:You don't have a single .22 semi rifle? They are cheap to own, cheap to feed, and a lot of fun. Let's say $300 for a nice 10/22 semi rifle. That leaves $1700. You only have one AR. Get a CMMG or a Stag. Out the door for about $1000. That leaves $700. Get one SKS and 2 Mosins, a 91/30 and an M44. $250 for the SKS and $100 each for the Mosins. That leaves $250 for ammo for your new caliber. You can get 1000 rounds of 7.62X54R shipped for $180. That leaves $70. Three Magpul PMAGs and an Infidel T-shirt to wear to the range should take care of it.
Already have - part of my CAS rig.you have 2 .45 colt revolvers, ya gotta get them a .45 lever rifle! isnt there some kinda law about that?
Now THAT is thinking outside the box.BlackBearME said:My vote is for an AR upper in something different...like.....this, for instance.
+1 on the Mosins. There's even a place in Del City with a good selection - except - to be honest - I wouldn't know how to tell whether I was getting a good one or a POS. I could check the bore but as for the rest.MaterDei said:...2 Mosins, a 91/30 and an M44. ...$100 each for the Mosins.
Best place to get it???MaterDei said:You can get 1000 rounds of 7.62X54R shipped for $180...
What is this Infidel T-Shirt you speak of?MaterDei said:...Infidel T-shirt to wear to the range should take care of it.
I'm pretty good with a rifle and even better with a pistol - heck I can even knock the plates off of a Texas star (5 plates mounted on a rotating wheel) more often than not.try a nice over under shotgun of sorts. Shooting some clays. It's a fluid and dynamic sport in contrast to the concentrated precision of rifle.
