It's 1 0clock here in Florida and J+G has that crappy Polish stab-crimped ammo for only four bucks more per box than the nice stuff they had a few months ago. Just a heads-up for you new pistol purchasers without "cheap" ammo. Good luck. Oh, and the average can price doubled from 90 to 180 bucks.

At $180 per can of corrosive, I'll go back to shooting steel cased 9mm. It was fun while it lasted! Fortunately I stocked up when I got my 7.62x25 AR upper.

It's about $50 more per can than is used to be. Not the end of world. But hopefully it's the beginning of surplus ammo flow back to us.

The last can of polish I bought nine months ago from century and split six ways was 98 bucks. Now 180. Almost twice as much. Just a heads-up. And yes .15 a throw is not bad.

well... I broke down and bought one can..... yes I keep hearing that in a few more weeks some of the importers will have new shipments of surplus...... but the bottom line is simple..... I needed something to keep shooting during the next few weeks.... I went to the range Saturday and quit shooting my Tokarev after one box of ammo becasue I was afraid of running out....and I calculated that reloading this caliber is going to cost the same as this surplus..... this should tide me over till the new surplus shipments arrive.....

Flash, you have a good sense of humor. That's one of the best posts I ever read. Thanks, really. Sometimes I need to be reminded that I'm being too cheap.

well.... I went through two boxes of this ammo today..... it shot great! I did not find any cracked necks in the cases.....when I got home, I went to the J&G website to see about buying more, but the price has gone up!

None of the Polish 7.62x25 I've used yet have split necks. I find it really decent stuff. I don't know what they sell for these days, but I can say it's easily worth the $90 a can I paid for it (or the wife actually as they were a birthday gift).

From my experience, it's the seemingly hotter Romanian fodder that has an issue with split necks. Fortunately, the split necks of the Romanian stuff doesn't seem to affect performance. However, I still prefer Yugoslavian and Polish ammunition.
