And shockingly, none of it seems to have ANYTHING to do with the Book of Mormon.

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that ignoring the CENTRAL GUIDING MOTIVATION behind all of them is sub-optimal policy.

Attacking the potential victims and attempting to render them disarmed and helpless is simply insane... or part of a strategy.

You keep coming back to that, but I literally haven't seen anyone in this discussion who has a problem with calling Islamic terrorism "Islamic" or who as advocated that the victims in Orlando were better off dying helplessly than they would have been being able to possibly fight back.

Anyhow, thanks for the lively debate. I'd stay and chat, but these empty .44 casings ain't gonna load themselves...

Statistically though, my chances of being killed by a terrorist are much lower than my chances of being killed by falling down, or by a mistake from the doctor who would treat me for falling down. I'm not going to run around in a panic just because CNN keeps reminding me every twelve minutes that it's a scary world. It's always been a scary world, and it's always been prudent to keep the means to defend yourself on hand.

But we put up handrails on catwalks to keep you from falling, we require doctors to carry the liability for their mistakes (to the point that it's destroying the profession), and we carry handguns to ruthlessly stop any rando SOB that pops up to claim our lives. There are risks you cannot avoid, and risks you can mitigate. Luckily, gun-terrorism (hey; new buzzword Everytown USA!) is a risk that can be mitigated by the same measures used for muggers/robbers/home invaders/etc. Situational awareness, a capable firearm at the ready, and the skill to use it effectively.

The media (and Obama) break me up, a huge hue and cry to ban those deadly AR15s, because of the pulse massacre, when the attacker (Muslim one) was armed with a piston driven Sig 5.56 rifle, with a folding stock!

Now you know how he managed to smuggle an AR15 in the door, he didn't!

Obama's hand picked Att. General is going to discuss the Pulse shooter today, but is not going to mention his call to ISIS! Not relevant. Oh No. To who.

Back to the Media, how come it is not plastered all over the media that Gay men are to be killed, according to the Muslims? One country has a simple system, they throw them off tall buildings!

Bring them in, give them Green Cards? Go Obama.

Nobody on this forum (to my knowledge) is either making national security policy or spreading disinformation in the major media.

It's like publishing a transcript of the Wannsee Conference carefully omitting any mention of:
  • Jews
  • Nazis
  • the "final solution"
Every time you think these curs are incapable of a more vile example of craven dishonesty, they outdo themselves.

'Splain to me again why Obama and his crew of merry misfits are so adamant about a Terror Watch List yet they release a censored transcript, not even the actual voice recordings mind you but a written CENSORED transcript, of Omar Mateen speaking to Orlando 911?
ALL mention of his allegience to Daesh and the idiot they call gawd is struck from the transcript.

I swear if most Americans were to have a walk in a forest they would spend most of their time running head first into tress...

Is there no one, we can call, on the phone and ask, "Why the heck are you not putting that 911 call out?" It is our right to hear it, in his actual voice, all of it.

I have heard dozens of 911 calls played on the TV News, why not this one?

Trying to shape public opinion instead of letting people form their own opinion from what is available seems quite like Yellow Journalism

What kind of a first name is "Jeh?"

Johnson's first name is taken from a Liberian chief, who reportedly saved his grandfather’s life while he was on a League of Nations mission to Liberia in 1930.
