I have a Philadelphia Derringer. I gave $15.00 for it at a garage/yard sale around 27 years ago[1993/1994]. It was in a topless Styrofoam, fitted, box. I figger it came from Dixie Gun Works. It was a kit. After a few years I put it together. Now I am wanting to shoot it and I want to know all about it.
On the left forward side of the barrel is stamped: Black Powder Only; under that is: JUKAR. At the rear of the barrel [maybe it is the breech] is stamped: SPAIN [the "S" is faint. In between JUKAR and SPAIN are numbers: 112_6 [I am sure about the first 1, the 2, and the 6. I am not sure about the total of numbers, but I think there were only 5, 1 being the first and 6 being the last. It looks like someone tried to remove them.
That is all I know bout the pistol. I think it is ,45 caliber.
Thanks for any help.
