Still thinking .... either a HK P30, a Sig 229 Platinum Elite, or a S&W Model 627PC.

How bout I go to Vegas, get lucky, and buy all three?

- CZ 75 P-01 w/tactical block and cocobolo grips
- 1895 Nagant
- Hi-Point C380
- CZ 83 if there's enough left over

Assuming only semi-auto's...

1 RIA 1911 Tactical in 45 ACP
1 RIA 1911 Tactical in 38 Super

Spend the rest (if any) on reloading dies and brass.

Threaded barrel, suppressor and 147 grs ammo for my Glock 17 :D

If it has to be a gun though, I would buy a Colt or Springfield Armory 1911 in .45 acp.

For sheer fun value: Customized Ruger 10/22

A fun pistol: Modified Ruger MK 2 or Browning Buckmark with quality red dot sight

For historical value: CMP Garand, CMP M1 Carbine

I'd also consider a Colt WW I as a replica gun. It's fun to shoot and duplicates what our men had.

The only autoloader I'm craving is the new Delta Elite that was promoted at the SHOT show. Since that doesn't seem to be available yet, I'd probably go for an XD .45 compact and a laser sight.

I'd find a nice used No lock S&W Model 29 blued, w/ 6 1/2 inch barrel. I'd look to spend the entire $1000 on a cherry or mint example.

I'd get a 6" Ruger Gp100 and get it worked over by Marc Morganti.
Now THAT would be magnificent.

I know it's the autoloader forum, but hey, it's the truth.

If I had a grand laying around, I think I would try to find a Kimber Pro-carry. I'm a fan of the bigger slugs and I can't get over how great it feels while it's being fired.
