recieved my 97 winchester back from old western gun repair

functions like new takedown is tight again,can't wait till phesant season.
its a 16 with 26" bbl was made in 1908 I inherated it from step-grandfather. I've had it for 20 years probably sat for 50 at his house.thanks to all the CAS shooters for the demand I have another piece of history to play with.

1908 ? Then this is still a 2&9/16" chamber perhaps? You have a source for the shorter shells ? If not, I think you can check the past posts here on THR and find out what works.

yes it was, Tom lengthened throat to accept 2 3/4" shells.
