Just how good are the SIG CPO pistols?

I have a number of SIG pistols. Recently bought a P226 CPO. It would appear that SIG has replaced the barrel and completely refinished the pistol. Of course it looks like a new gun. The barrel locks up tight in the slide but there is quite a bit of play in the slide both laterally and vertically. My other SIGs are very tight with little to no play. Has anyone experienced this? What was the effect on accuracy? Can this issue be corrected?
