I have been searching high and low for an excellent condition k-31, unfortunatly everywhere seems to be fresh out. I have already checked Jg sales, Samco, and a few other places similar to them to only find that they are sold out of excellent condtion k31s. I've also been checking gunbroker but either find poor condition or excellent condition over 400$ does anyone know where I can find a true excellent condtion k-31 at a reasonable price?

The supply does seem to be diminishing. Mine was $200 this past December, beech stock, good metal. I saw two in very good condition a few weeks ago at a Montgomery gun show for $220.

A gun show would be a way to find a great gun, but theres typically very few gun shows coming to my state(CT) so I am pretty much stuck to onlie retaliers and some local gun stores.

AIMsurplus has both walnut and beech models available with all matching numbers. They list condition as good to very good plus.

I don't know that I've ever seen a K31 for sale that was in excellent condition (the stocks are always worn, esp. at the butt) but the barrels are invariably in very serviceable shape.

+1 on Classic Arms. I've ordered firearms as well as ammo from them and they are a fine company to deal with.

I have looked at the classic arms website but it seems a little unprofessional, so I wasn't sure how reputable the company was, but judging by the recent comments they seem to be just fine. Would you definitaly reccomend them? some details about your past experience with them will also be helpfull thanks

I got 2 from their last shipment - about 7 weeks back...had to wait 3 weeks for them to come in; the web site is not updated frequently.

At any rate, I threw another $10 into the price to get a "hand-select" and ended up with 2 walnut stocked, excellent bores, 90% or so bluing and one stock essentially excellent while the other looks like the more typical beaver-chewed. They shipped the day I ordered, nice folks to talk with but you may have to call a few times until you catch them with an on-hand batch.

It's a family business and in fact, he's not far from where I live. I've bought a couple CZ-52's, a 24/47 Mauser and a Mosin Carbine from Ben at Classic and each time, I couldn't have been more pleased. Of course YMMV and all that. Bought a lot of ammo from him too. AFAIAC, Classic Arms is a well known and well respected vendor in the C&R world

I'd also recommend Classic Arms, I just got my walnut stocked K-31 through them and would do so again in a minute. Their site can be a little "behind the times", but they are a great company nonetheless.

I was at the gun show in Savannah, GA. and one dealer had 5 K-31's for between $150 (poor) and $250 for good. None had owner ID tags.

just bought a k-31 from classic should be here within 3-5 days, we'll see how their current batch is.
