Hello, I've done a search and there are only a few threads about this gun. Maybe not too many people have one, or don't personally know someone who has one?

Anyways, for those of you who own the gun or directly know someone who does, what has your experience been? I'm mostly concerned with reliabilty. I used to own a PM-9, but had FTF/FTE with it a lot, but it did feel great in the hand, was very slim, and had a nice trigger pull.

I'm a revolver guy for the most part, but have been thinking about a concealable semi-auto for more capacity/power at times. There aren't too many DAO guns in .380/9mm out there to pick from. I used to own a G26 before, and it was just too heavy/blocky for me to carry all the time. Seems like on paper the CW-9 would be great, but I'm trying to decide whether I want to "roll the dice" on this one.

Thanks.

I haven't shot it much yet, but so far it's been a fine little pistol. Tight, no manufacturing flaws, smooth functioning - put maybe 100 rounds through it without a miss-fire. Good little gun.

Design-wise, they're much more reliable than the PM-9. Mine wasn't though, and QC issues forced me to send it back to Kahr with < 50 rounds through it.

I've had one since April, around six hundred rounds thru it.

It has become my favorite handgun, replacing my G19 Glock. After shooting around sixty or seventy rounds, when it has started to get dirty inside, the first round from a fresh magazine may fail to fully chamber if you don't manually rack the slide briskly enough. It never does if you chamber using the slide stop.

When fresh and clean I've found the CW9 to be completely reliable. The accuracy is excellent, freehand shooting at thirty feet will easily do a two inch or less group with any kind of ammo I load it with.

Recoil is next to nothing, grip is very comfortable. The trigger is just fabulous, smooth and not too long or too light.

When I hold it down at my side, close my eyes, raise it up to firing position with one hand, and then open my eyes it is usually pointing right at the target. I've tried point shooting with it at 10-15 ft. using clay pigeons and the excellent pointability will reward me with hitting eight of out ten everytime. One day I was taking 'em one right after another and I thought, "Man, I can't miss with this thing!".

Roll the dice, keep it clean, and you'll like it alot.

Thanks for the input so far you guys. I welcome and appreciate any more experiences though.

I know its a "tight" fitting gun, with small tolerances. So I guess with the build-up after some firing you can't expect it to go as many rounds w/o a malfunction after getting dirty like other guns.

Snapcaps-You're right about the trigger and "pointability" of the gun, the PM9 did both well. Just didn't function for me 30%+ of the time. I will listen to more comments, and I may end up getting one if I can get a decent deal.
