jimmygrish, I think you've put it well. I'm a former LEO and have been carrying concealed for decades and with a wide variety of guns: S&W Model 36 (for a long time), then short barreled Kimbers, then Glocks 27, 26, 19, and finally the Kahr CM9. I like it best of all. The trigger is smooth, the build quality is excellent, the recoil is slight, and target acquisition is rapid. So it's only 6+1. In my experience carrying concealed off duty, if I find myself in a situation where I need more than 6+1, I've made a serious blunder.
(Oh, yeah, I tried some of the 380s; in the first place they are 380s; in the second place they are simply no fun to shoot. I always felt outgunned, even at Starbucks.)
