keep dd or get rock river

so i've been looking for a .308 and think i might have found one. just to get some other opinions would you trade a daniel defense ar 15 for a rock river lar-8. any first hand experience with the lar-8 would be grealy appreciated

Just personal opinion, but I think that the DD is a better rifle than anything that RRA makes, but of course, the .308 is a whole different animal.

My limited personal experience with the RRA .308 is that it shoots as good as any other in its class. I'd say that the big decision to be made among AR .308s is which magazine do you want to commit to.

Do you have another AR-15? I wouldn't sell my only AR-15 to get into an AR-10 type rifle.

i'm not really a huge rock river fan they're just a good bit cheaper than lwrc or lmt and i figured they had to be a step above dpms.

Im not a fan of DPMS but have read that their AR10s are better than thier AR15s.

I personally wouldnt make that switch but if the AR10 meets your needs better than the DD....

I traded my RR AR-15 for an AR-10 and I am mostly happy but I miss the light weight of the smaller platform.

I was making a similar choice,and decided on a 6.8spc upper. Much more power,and keeps the AR 15 size and weight. You can always switch to the 5.56 upper when you want.

Yes keep the Daniel Defense. Rock Rivers are fine but DD makes top teir AR's.

i do not have a lot of experance with the ar's but i love my lar8al i shot before this was the 30-06 m1 and ,edystone enfield ,m1a .i said they only way i would have a ar is .308 and i had to get one . plus they use fal inch or metric mag's .
