I have a P3AT I like well enough. It's been flawless, but I've only put jacketed ball ammo through it (no Hp's). I had a P11, and again, flawless with ball ammo - mostly Win White Box.

Has anyone run straight lead, or more specifically semi wadcutter through their Kel Tec's? I'm looking at the PF9 and am wondering if it will feed it well.

BTW, I've never done the fluff and buff and the above 2 have run fine.

So, what are my chances I'll be able to run SWC's in a PF9 out of the box?

No SWC experience, but FWIW I've run Speer Gold Dot JHPs through both a P3AT and a P11 with no problems. When I carry the P3AT, it's with Gold Dots.

I might be able to find the parts of my KelTec that exploded in my hands, primarily due to using lead bullets. I would not advise lead in a KelTec.

I would not even consider the PF9 if I were you. It is on revision G and it still has some major reliability issues, that is, unless you like to tinker with a gun to make it right. They will send you all the free parts you want or need, but should a gun really be sold to the public like this? Mine is back at Kel Tec for the second time in 2 months. If they replace it, I'm considering selling it before I ever shoot it. Mike

P-11s

Thousands of rounds of Montana Gold 115 gr bullet in reloads
Thousands of old and new Lead bullets.

Don't ask me the recipe, I don't do metallic. I know we ordered the Montana bullets and used for 38spl, 9mm and 45ACP a lot.

Seems to me 20,000 9mm bullets per order was common.
My personal P-11 has run 1500+ Montana or 1500+ lead only in one week sometimes.
