I picked up a Glock 17 mag compatible Sub 2000 last summer for $285 NIB. It's fun, I don't find the recoil at all objectional, and it's always gone bang when I pull the trigger. Great truck gun. I carry mine in a Advantec steel reinforced nylon computer / briefcase, perfect fit.
Things I don't like about it are the front sight; it's a post-in-a-circle design, and when I use that type of sight I want the post to be in the middle of the circle. It's not.
Also, the bottom of the grip frame doesn't have anything holding it together so it flexes and wants to seperate in ways that don't inspire much confidence.
Yes, there are certainly better pistol caliber carbines out there, but for the money the Sub 2000 can't be beat.
