Kel Tec Sub2000, anybody own one?

I'm considering a Sub2000 in 40 S&W as a trunk gun and range toy. I know it's a low cost hunk of primarily plastic, but so is the Hi Point and I have firsthand experience that they are reliable. Anybody care to share their Sub2000 experiences?

Yes, I own one. I've only taken it to the range and shot it a few times. It shoots great, no complaints, except one: it does kick. The recoil kinda of hurts my shoulder. It's probably because the stock isn't necessarily made for comfort, but more for folding ability? Other than that, I think it's a very good weapon for self defense and possibly hunting, if you really need to hunt but don't have a rifle. It will probably bring a deer down at 100 yards?

I bought a 1st generation when they first came out. Has never had any failures. Pretty accurate out to 50 yards, but you keep reminding yourself that the front sight is plastic and is epoxy glued on to the barrel. Grip is also cheesy and cheap but it folds into a small package and works.
