I'm considering a Sub2000 in 40 S&W as a trunk gun and range toy. I know it's a low cost hunk of primarily plastic, but so is the Hi Point and I have firsthand experience that they are reliable. Anybody care to share their Sub2000 experiences?
Yes, I own one. I've only taken it to the range and shot it a few times. It shoots great, no complaints, except one: it does kick. The recoil kinda of hurts my shoulder. It's probably because the stock isn't necessarily made for comfort, but more for folding ability? Other than that, I think it's a very good weapon for self defense and possibly hunting, if you really need to hunt but don't have a rifle. It will probably bring a deer down at 100 yards?
