Hi, just wondering if anyone has experience finding a holster from the 709 slim? I'm looking at it as a BUG, in an ankle holster or a thigh holster in the summer. I'm thinking a Keltec PF-9 holster should fit the slim?
CrossBreed has a mold. Don't forget a real gunbelt if you don't have one, CrossBreed makes those too, although the BeltMan is slightly better (and slightly more expensive).
I have not personally verified this, but I've seen elsewhere that a nylon holster for the Glock 26/27 fit the PT-709...you may be able to get a nylon ankle holster for a G26 that will fit the PT-709. Might want to check it out in person to make sure it fits...
It's plenty thin, but the shape of the trigger guard for the 709 precludes it from fitting in most of the PF9 holsters I tried it in.
I can verify that the Taurus 709 fits perfectly in Glock 26/27 Galco Summer Comfort leather IWB
and also fits in the Uncle Mike's microfiber IWB open top that's made for Glock subcompacts (#12 I believe)
I find the microfiber really comfortable and it doesn't bulk up the IWB feel like the Galco SC can, but the plastic clip on the Uncle Mike's does allow the entire holster to shift more than I'd prefer.
As noted by the post above, some do work. In fact, my Galco SkyOps for the G19 actually holds the PT-709 very well -- I've carried my PT-709 with it while I've been waiting for my other holsters to arrive...
ETA: pics.

Retention is no less than the G19 -- the draw feels about the same.
Even though the PT-709 is thinner, it might be a hair "taller" between the top of the slide and the bottom of the trigger guard, which then causes the holster to stretch vertically to conform and provide the friction necessary for retention.
