I know NOTHING about a black powder firearm. A client who's husband passed away brought in a KnightRifle Disc Extreme 50 cal rifle. The stock is synthetic with a SS barrel. I did try to get in touch with KnightRifle's but they were not available.

Like I said I know nothing about blackpower guns. The bolt on this gun does not close all the way when locked. It that normal? She wants it out of her house and asked if I could sell it for her. From what I could tell, it looked to be in good condition except the rear sight had some rust on it. When Googled the rifle it looked to sale new for around $500 but have no idea what it is worth.

If you have any knowledge of this gun, please let me know.

thats a good rifle if i remember correctly. you will need the discs to insert a shot gun primer into and insert in the action. the disc is about 3/8" or more thick and is why the action looks like it doesnt close. it has a quick twist if i remember and works well with saboted bullets but not round balls.

all knight rifles are pretty good quality. i wasnt aware they still made a disc rifle. they did have a following at one time. maybe still.

if the rifle is several years old and in good condition with a good bore,i would ask about 250$

the prob with inlines is that about every 15 minutes sumone comes up with a new one. thats posed to be better than the last one and it devalues the last gen ones.

however yu need to do some research, there are some rifles like the ruger 77/50 and the rem 700ml that do still bring good prices.

Most places around here don't touch used smokepoles at all because the powders are extremely corrosive. It may be worth 2-3 hundred but you would be really REALLY hard pressed to get that. My recommendation would be to use it as trade fodder to get something you want except that it's not yours. You could always buy it cheap and keep it. They are fun to shoot and a long day at the range will not break the wallet let alone the bank.

Thanks for the replies. i think that she would be happy to get $200 for the gun. I am not sure if it has been fired. Again, I know nothing about black powder guns. In the stuff she gave me it did have some gray pad looking stuff in tubes, was not sure what that was/is. There was also some bullets that were pointed with a yellow insert.
