Seems to me that the comparable Ruger is the SP101 in .357 Magnum, not the LCR in .327 Federal. All those points are the same reasons I chose an SP101 over an LCR. The Ruger wins on price and on reliability track record (debuted in 1989). The Kimber has better sights, probably a smoother trigger, and additional capacity while still weighing slightly less (23 oz versus 26 oz).
I think they're both fine guns, and consumers benefit from more choice. This doesn't make me regret my SP101 purchase, especially since I was price conscious, but I'm still glad it's out there.
