They made 927 steel M39s, not impossible to find.
I guess one of the ten known M44 SAOs on that frame would be tough, though.

Yeah, I see the steel 39s on Gunbroker fairly often. Prices are ridiculous though.

Here's a couple more for today.

Daewoo DH40 - These were interesting pistols that utilized that weird "tri-action".

Here is the Chinese Norinco 213. Its a 9mm version of the Tokarev pistol. Cool gun

good Lord every time I look at this thread, more rare pistols that I will probably never see! Good on you BC you are truly a lucky fellow to be able to own all these great firearms!!

That carpet has seen more than most of us will ever see in our lifetimes. Also, it must be hard tiptoeing around all those guns all over the floor.

I had always heard people trash the Star brand pistols as "cheap steel", or something along those lines. The ones you have posted have been pretty cool, bc. I'd own them!

Here's a couple of Colts you don't see everyday. They weren't successful models, but they are different.

Colt Double Eagle

Colt All American 2000

Most of these were polymer, but the First Edition model had an aluminum frame.

I think you may have heard that they are made of soft steel? They are and therefore not a great platform for launching thousands of +p rounds from, but this softness of steel is due to the era that many of them are from, not cheapness of materials. Metallurgy is more advanced now than it was when the soft steel stars were being produced. I myself have a Modelo B and it is a great little pistol!

Here is my vote for the finest rimfire pistol ever built.

S&W 41

This is an early model built in the 60's shortly after the heavy barrel model became available. This gun is still in production today, but I find the early model much nicer.

Speaking of the CZ 75, here is the Springfield P9, which is a clone.

Its based off the original CZ 75, not the 75B.

Here's a couple more Spanish pistols.

The Astra A-100 is loosely based off the Sig P226.

Here is a Llama Especial 9mm

I actually think that Llama is beautiful. Sort of like a mix between a Hi Power and a 1911

I've also always liked the looks of most the Llama pistols.

They were nowhere near as good as Star from a quality perspective though.

bc, can you get some closer shots of the end of the Preditor II? I've not seen anything like that before. Also, any info on what it is and what it does would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm sure bc will be by shortly, but I'm pretty sure that is just how NHC likes to finish off their bushingless barrels. It is a more finished look than just having the end of the flared barrel sitting in the slide
