I think you may have heard that they are made of soft steel? They are and therefore not a great platform for launching thousands of +p rounds from, but this softness of steel is due to the era that many of them are from, not cheapness of materials. Metallurgy is more advanced now than it was when the soft steel stars were being produced. I myself have a Modelo B and it is a great little pistol!I had always heard people trash the Star brand pistols as "cheap steel", or something along those lines. The ones you have posted have been pretty cool, bc. I'd own them!

I'm sure bc will be by shortly, but I'm pretty sure that is just how NHC likes to finish off their bushingless barrels. It is a more finished look than just having the end of the flared barrel sitting in the slidebc, can you get some closer shots of the end of the Preditor II? I've not seen anything like that before. Also, any info on what it is and what it does would be appreciated. Thanks!
