Back in early March, I purchased this from a forum member. I drove from Pearl River County through the Homochitto to the bluffs surrounding Natchez to get it.
Price was quite attractive for an all stainless steel 45auto.
It sports a factory laser, early rail & adjustable tritium night sights. The sights still glow after 21 years, but can only be seen in inky blackness. The laser is DOA. Either the rechargeable battery, circuit or laser lamp is dead. Would not likely use it if it did work.*
Magazines are metalform 1911's holding seven rounds. Original box & literature included.
Although the frame rails do not extend forward of the ejection port like my AMT, the lack of forward slide support does not seem to bother the pistol.
Build quality is much better than my AMT. Much better.
It shoots minute of pie plate at 15 yards.
I was using the polymer coated steel cased Tula ammo from Wal-Mart. Fifteen bucks for 50 & it seems to stay in stock. Steel cases are even boxer primed. Could be resized & reloaded. Just don't let em' rust.
Breakdown is easy like a 1911, but the ejector is spring loaded & the hammer must be at rest against the frame to capture the ejector & hold it there once the slide is removed. Cocking the hammer will result in the ejector & spring leaving the vicinity of the pistol & rendering the firearm useless without the slide installed.
Gotta take it back out & adjust the sights so I can match the POA with POI.
