LCP Max is bigger than original LCP

Both of the 'II' versions sting my trigger finger; the original is better. Had a long history with the original version, went down the II rabbit hole for the more Glockish trigger, which didn't work out.
Finally back to an original for something, using an Alabama pocket kydex.

i have a nostalgia for the original! smooth lines & curves. nothing aggressive.

That would make drawing the pistol even more difficult and slower than it already is with pocket carry.

I think if the holster was cloth it would allow enough flex to get your fingers in between the grip and the magazine floor plate.

I currently use a RM380 and I'm wondering if a LCP max is worth upgrading to.

How much of a difference in recoil is there?

It's hard to quantify what makes the RM380 and easier gun to shoot for me as the recoil is likely similar to the LCP Max if measured by weight of a loaded gun and cartridge power.

The RM380 has a trigger pull like a DAO revolver, the slide is "heavy" for caliber, the recoil springs feel light, and the gun fits my hand well for a pocket gun.

The LCP Max seems to fit my hand okay enough, but the trigger and trigger guard bite the snot out of my trigger finger when I fire the gun. Which is strange because when I dry fire the gun with snap caps, I don't get the trigger bite. First gen Ruger LCPs don't do this to me. I've never tried a 2nd gen LCP.

It's likely mostly a finger and hand size problem for me with the Max. Other's would have to weigh in with their observations.
