I have an LCR in 357 that I really like and actually intended on buying a .22LR double action and I hear about this new LCR 22 coming out. I'm also anxious about spare parts. Ruger doesn't sell critical parts to the public right? Can these two interchange since the housing is polymer mold and requires no extra machining? Are they the same size and utilize the "cam" trigger?

I have both an LCR 357 and the new LCR 22. I am guessing that some parts are exactly the same between the LCR 38 and 22. The Front sight is .036 shorter. The barrel and some cylinder components will be different. The Fire Control Group will have a few unique parts to cover the 8 shot vs 5 shot cylinder of the rimfire.

I am sure the LCR 38 and 22 are the same size. Come with the same grips. The rimfire trigger seems just a hair stiffer than my 357. Possibly a slightly stronger mainspring to lite off 22 Rimfire. The trigger is still very good.

I am sure the LCR 22 is here to stay. It is covered under Rugers great warranty, so I would not worry about parts. It is a great practive J Frame size gun. I really like mine.
