Least expensive 1911 w/ all forged parts?

To the OP. What are you going to use the gun for? Self defense, target shooting, Concealed carry? To me that will go a long way to picking the right gun for the right price. The beauty of the 1911 platform is that you can make it a custom gun. You do not have to pay for things you do not want or need. Do you have a price point in mind? Do you mind a used gun?

I agree with the last post. Dont get too hung up on cast, forged, MIM. I have found myself doing this. Maybe just focus on a forged frame, slide, barrel. Everything else is fairly easily replaceable if there is an issue. Work around your budget. If you have an unlimited budget, get a custom weapon with exactly what you want.

I have heard mixed reviews on the SIG. Dont they have external extractors? If we are being picky, I dont like those on my 1911's.
