Lee ACP - Auto case priming press

News to me. I'm particularly interested in how well that deprime system works with it and how effective the finger feed system is.

Looks interesting, but I try to prime on Dillon now...there are a few calibers that don't get the Dillon treatment, and I have to use a hand primer for .44 Special and Mag, and M1 Carbine. Those are infrequent for me to load..but that Lee priming system looks much nicer than the plastic junk that came with my Classic Turret...

@Bush Pilot LOL for sure. I’m interested in this simply because I can not get the priming system to work on the pro 1000 despite multiple fixes and attempts. I’ve given up and now I size/decap/prime in one process in the LCT and then feed the primed cases into the pro 1K without a sizing die in place. Probably about as efficient as if I simply finished the loading process on the LCT but it makes me feel like I’m going faster.

so if I’m getting it right on the new ACP you have to start with decapped brass correct? OR get the optional decapping setup and run it through once to decap and then switch it and run it all through again to prime, right?

Love my APP from Lee. Saves me a lot of time. I have an auto prime on my single stage, but it's kind of blah. May just get one as I'm looking to speed up production. It's too bad they don't make an adapter of some type for the APP.

I deprime on the app, that's saved me time. I also size pistol cases on the app.
I prefer to prime on something that gives me a good feel for how much pressure is applied, loose pockets get tossed.
I've gotten some serious grief for suggesting that a progressive press won't give the type of feedback I like when seating primers and maybe I'm just ignorant but it takes only a couple of minutes to prime 100 cases manually and I'm not in a rush so I'm not too interested in this acp tool.
I will give lee credit, they put out lots of new designs and their prices are reasonable . after all if you spend $5,000 on loading equipment it will take that much longer to realize any savings at all.
I won't load any cartridge that (during normal times) can be bought cheap in bulk.

I'm more interested in that swaging kit that's also in the new products. I just threw away 100 crimped 308 cases because life is too short for crimped pockets.

As equipped, primer feed is automatic. But the accessory case feed magazine is an option. So unless you buy that, cases must be loaded one at a time. A considerable amount of plastic is used, as is typical of Lee products. I've got the APP, which has been just OK. I'll probably pass on this.

The optional case feed used on those two presses typically needs to be readjusted when switching calibers, and it's not an especially quick or simple process (loosening and readjusting nuts at a minimum, swapping and rearranging parts sometimes as well). For that reason, I've set up and use my APP for 45 Auto only.
