I suspect that the gun is made of materials that cannot stand up to real world ammo, and that the barrel is well, I was going to say obstructed, but that implies that there was once a real barrel, and that the blank it is chambered in is short enough no round (save maybe a CB cap) would physically fit.

Now, sure, you might well be able to convert it to fire a single 22LR, but then, making a zip gun from scratch would probably be easier.

Absolutely correct, in my experience. Who's going to spend the money to forge/machine/investment cast/whatever this kind of thing out of steel?
I've actually had one or two similar items, and they appeared to be sintered zinc. Both rapidly fell apart from hand cycling, and the "barrels" were chambered for blanks but otherwise unbored soft metal rods.
Back in Miami Vice days it was fun having a blank firing MAC 11, but mine disintegrated very rapidly.

All I can say is, You have got to be kidding???!!!

I am new to CCW, but even I, being new am not that stupid! Yes, I would trust my defense to a fake gun? I don't think so!

The videos were a riot! I actually had to go to the website and check out CCW badges! I couldn't believe it! Now granted, my city police station just gives me this little sheet of paper (my fishing license would be harder to forge!), but a badge?

Sometimes, all you can say is... wow!
