I grew up with a kid who carried a BB gun everywhere. His specialty was rapid point-and-shooot without really aiming. He would snap the gun to his shoulder and shoot as fast as he could cock and shoot. He got where he could hit ants crawling across a sidewalk. Later in life he was the only guy who could routinely hit running cottontails with a .22. Practice makes perfect.
 
I have used a few different 22lr rifles as well, but lately the single action revolver has been best for quick shots.
 
Shoot wasps - they hunt bees. The honey bees and bumble bees are dying off for unknown reasons. Shoot flies - they have flipping purpose in life except to fee frogs.
