I hope you got a great deal on yours as they are bringing big bucks unfired with original box and papers.
Let's just say it was into four figures and as much as I paid for an early 6" M57 no dash. A good bit more than I expected or wanted to pay, but it's a seller's market for guns of this vintage and condition.

I sold a nice 66-1 without box for $1200. I recently sold the used 3" 66 in the picture for close to 2K to someone who had to have it... I have a 3" 65 that I like just as much. They are getting very pricey...I still own all the others on the photos and my favorite shooter is the 4" no dash I've owned since new.

Now I don't feel quite so bad for paying what I did for mine. The SCSW says that stainless guns bring a premium over their blued/nickel counterparts, and I believe it now. Even though your M66-2 wasn't P&R, I'd have found it extremely difficult to part with, for whatever the price. The first revolver I ever bought new was a 4" M66-1 I bought in early 1979 (actually traded with cash for a used 6" M19 I'd only had a year) and kept until 2005. Still can't figure out why I sold it, except I got a great offer from a friend who really wanted it. I've been trying to buy it back ever since.
