My lone Savage - a 12BVSS in .223 shown with a Weaver V16 plex and the factory Accu-Trigger. Had Fred Moreo of Sharp Shooter Supply install one of his triggers which I find to be an improvement. Although for out of the box the Accu-Trigger is pretty good.
I always liked the look of the 12BVSS and thought it would make a great bench rifle. The rifle has displayed some really impressive accuracy at times but has a tendency to foul quickly.
I am thinking barrel replacement although a few here have suggested that it will smooth up with more cleaning and shooting. About 300 rounds fired so far.
It now has a Burris 12X plex. I am going to mount my V16 with target dot off my 700 for my next range session.
Pre-Accutrigger 110, .30-06 with Boyd's nutmeg laminate stock, Swift 4-12X40AO scope in Millet bases and rings, Uncle Mike's buttstock shellholder, and a Boonie Packer sling. The whole package cost a grand total of $350!
