I chose to take the liberty of paraphrasing one of the most profoundly true statements ever made by one of the greatest thinkers of the 19th Century. The message is timeless -- it's as true today as it was after the Civil War.
I really wish you had not posted this question. I hope that does not offend you; I mean it is a good question, and I enjoy many of the answers. However, I am terrified that Biker is going to stop laughing and actually tell us the origins of his third signature line. I am certain that would be TMI.
I chose that line because in my life it seems few things turn out as planned. So on the few times things work out right...I feel like I've found a prize...hence, the line.
Mark.
Mine changes from time to time, so in case I change it later; "So I says to Borg; As long as we're up here, one of us ought to Moon those Saxon dogs!!" -This is the line under a cartoon picture of a guy being carried down from castle battlements, belly down on a stretcher, with a butt full of arrows.
The one I had before was from "Running Scared", when Billy Crystal is questioning a bad guy, who says; "No habla englais." He sticks his .38 in his nose, and says, "Hablo Smith and Wesson?"
www.alwayssafe.org is a site I've been working on for some time. I'll get it done eventually. I have some things up but everything I have done is sitting waiting to get completed before I upload it for public viewing.
Mine comes from a Simpsons episode where Homer becomes a country music manage and names himself Col Homer like Elvis's Manage Col. Tom Parker.
My father, a Col. in the Army, was watching the show with me and uses the line all the time even they do call him Col because he was as he says a Dumbass army guy.
Because it struck me as absolutely hilarious while still being tongue-in-cheek.
Well, that and I figured I'm too old, have too many firearms, and am too secure in my manhood to duplicate the sophomoric list of "guns owned" sig line that sprouts up on this forum like noxious weeds.
