I have 8 DA revolvers and my Llama is my most accurate. I don't know a lot on the history, but I do know some of the parts are interchangeable with the Smith and Wesson. I installed k-frame Hogue grips and a Smith yoke screw. Not sure what else is interchangeable.
Mines a little beat up, but it shoots great and has a really nice trigger. Got any pics?

I dont have a camera other wise i would put picks. Mine looks just like yours except with the orginal grips.

I have a Llama Comanche 3 in .357 magnum. It shoots great but doesn't like aluminum cased ammo. It's decent for an inexpensive K-frame clone.

The grips you see in my picture are k-frame hogues and they fit with just a slight modification. They were just a hair proud on part of the backstrap, so I just took a lighter and burned/melted the excess material (trimming with a "sharp" knife will work also). They might fit your gun perfect. It's common for after market grips to mismatch a little when they were originally fitted with factory wood grips.

My best friend had a Llama Commanche .357 back in the early/mid 90s and he wishes he'd never sold it. It was a fantastic shooter with a fantastic trigger. IIRC, the hammer rode on a cam instead of using a transfer bar. It was a cool setup that worked very well.
