I can see where your coming from mmike87, and not to poke at details but I don't want to "police the countryside."

I'm certainly not going to go looking for anything, but if it comes to me then thats a different story.

A person could say, and rightfully so, that in the given situation it did not come to me. This is true to a degree, but at the same time it has great potential to quickly involve my sphere of protection (ie the wife, kids).

As to the idea of the nearly certain lawsuit, from either the perp or his family, shoot I wish I had the answer. In todays sue happy society it's hard to think of what some people will do next. I just figure that I have to live with my decision. In the end it's really hard to say what we'll do until it comes right down to it.

Now, I absolutely agree with that! Some people just won't admit that, however.

"Do you save the cashier or not since you and your loved ones are in no immediate danger?"

Don't know about your State's Penal Laws but in my state once someone commits murder it's open season.

Personally would kill him as soon as I saw he intended to use Deadly Physical Force on ANYBODY!
