Long Gun License in NYC

I recently got my NY pistol premise permit. However, I am now interested in getting a long gun permit to keep a shotgun in my home. Would I have to go through the whole application process even though I already have a premise permit? Is the long gun process just as lengthy?

No it's just a rifle/shotgun permit. I had one along with my NYC carry permit. It's been a decade, but I believe it was just like a formality and fee. Picture and "at the time" fold out with the weapons listed. You do have to fill out a form, but nothing like a pistol permit
