Here my Savage10 FP in .308w, with Choate ultimate varmint stock, along with a safe queen vintage tasco custom shop 840x56mm 30mm tube, side focus, made in Japan.
Serves as a scope and spotting scope, has some of the clearest glass I'd ever layed eyes upon, very durable, compared to todays scopes.

It a hugh scope, sun shades dont help matters much.

Leupold rings, but fixed to up grade.

Also, probably re do the camo this coming weekend.

Now, let see your long range rig. :)

Mine's a Remington 700 VLS .308, the stock has been freefloated, had aluminum pillars installed, and glass bedded, the trigger is a Shillen. Bases are Burris Tactical, Rings Leupold PWR, and the scope in this pic is a BSA 36x, it is being replaced by a Browning/Bushnell Elite 8-24x40 that I ordered earlier this week.

take a look at badger ordnance's rings and bases, a little on the pricy side but the workmanship on them is flawless as far as I've seen on my set.

Why change the camo? It appears to blend very well with your surroundings as is...

Nice rifle(s) and killer groups...what distance?

The 3 shot groups were shot at 100yds, Load was 43.5 gr Varget behind a Sierra 168gr Matchking in a Hornady Match Case, lit by a Federal 210Gold Medal primer.

TG:

I hope you don't use your rifle's scope for a spotter when you're hunting. :what: People that do that scare the dickens out of me!
Remember the Rule: "Never point a firearm at anything you do not intend to shoot."? :scrutiny::

About 10 years ago, I was hunting Coues deer in SE Az. I saw movement on the opposite side of a canyon about 400 yards away. Thinking it may be a buck following the group of does that passed my way from that vicinity 10 minutes before, I took a look with my binocular hoping I might get a shot. Turned out I was looking at another hunter that was looking at me THROUGH HIS RIFLE'S SCOPE!:cuss: I quickly got down behind the rock I was sitting on. I assume he was checking out my movement. But these days, who knows? For God's sake, use a binocular when in the field!

By the way, in my opinion, FWIW, if you point a gun at someone, it is reasonable for them to assume you intend to shoot them. Don't be surprised if they shoot first.

Poper

Don't worry, Poper... I don't think that's a hunting gun... though I could be wrong. I wouldn't drag that nice of a gun out into a forest, that's for sure.

What a great looking gun.

txgunman, are the choate stocks as good as they look

im ordering a choate for my savage 110 , (ultimate sniper) and i like your setup anything i should know about them, and a mean setup once again:)

I have a Choate ultimate sniper stock on my Savage and really like it. It is heavy(reduces felt recoil), but it is fully adjustable and reasonably priced. I kind of wish I had looked more at their ultimate varmint stock as it looks less "ultimate." I used leupold rings at first but they just didn't seem sturdy enough so I upgraded to Ken Farrell. It can shoot Sub MOA when I do my part and I'm gearing up to reload for it.

actually the stock im locking at IS a ultimate varmit not sniper?

whats the differance outside of looks? and willl the ultimate varmit fit the savage 110 in 30-06:confused:

I was going to get the mcmillan but I didn't have an extra five bills+ laying around that wasn't going to outrageously expensive match ammo. I know, I know, I'll be reloading soon...
