I've read lots of good reviews about CDNN here, but I still can't help but think that I will be buying a used pistol sight unseen (at least in this case.)

So, for those that have brought used Sigs from CDNN, how good are they?

If CDNN rates them "good to very good", how does that compare to amount used?

I assume that paying the extra $20 for hand picked is wise, but is that just for the outside (scratches) or do they look at the internal parts as well?

As comparing this to a new one, would most people agree that it is better to pay the extra $150+ to buy new, or do you see the used Sigs as a good deal?

If you have brought a used Sig from CDNN, would you do it again?

If you have a problem with your purchase, will they replace or correct it?

Honestly, I don't mind a scratch or two, I am more concerned with the internal parts and how much stress it has been under or how much it has been used.
Never brought one sight unseen from the internet before, but I am seriously considering it.....so I thought I would come here for some help.
Figure I will end up asking a lot of questions to a CDNN rep. when I call, but thought I would start here first.

Thank you all for any help and guidance you can provide.

I bought a P225 last month that was rated excellent or like new and it was indeed in excellent condition. There was almost no finish wear on mine so I don't think it got any kind of rough treatment. Internally, it looked new except for a small bit of wear on the barrel from firing. It shoots great and I have no complaints at all.

If I had the money, I'd buy a P220 from CDNN today. From other threads I've read, CDNN will do their best to make everything right if you have a problem with your purchase.

I've ordered no less than 9 used sigs from CDNN. I've been really happy with all of them.

The "good condition" ones had some holster wear on the blue ones in the usual places but were still in very good shape. The two tone "good condition" looked new once they had been cleaned (they were dirty when they got here). I would continue to buy only the "good" ones, since in my opinion Sigs are ugly anyway and I buy them because they work so I don't mind a little wear.

However, sometimes they have been sold out of the "good" ones, so I have to pay the extra $20 for a "hand picked" one. On the blued models there is less wear on the hand picked models, the two toned ones look the same to me as the "good" ones do.

As for internals, the barrels look to be in great shape, and the guns work. I haven't done a detailed strip to any of them, but a quick eyeball shows them to be just fine, and I've put a lot of rounds downrange with a couple of them with no problems.

All this being said, I'd call and order today if you want one; I put in an order last Thursday and they seemed to be out of several models already.

hope this helps,

Thanks for the quick replies. Very helpful! I also read Alduro's post and although I understand there could be problems (as with any business), it looks like CDNN works to keep good customer realations....
