Looking for a 1911 compact in stainless nickel...no luck

Like the title says, I am looking for a compact .45 cal 1911 type gun with a stainless nickel plated slide, but preferably all nickel plated. I have been to a few gun stores and they looked in their catalogs and couldn't find anything. Any suggestions?

If I read your post correctly, I think stainless steel and nickel plating are mutually exclusive, being sort of a redundancy. Some alternatives: purchase an all stainless gun and have it brightly polished (giving it the appearance of bright plating), or have a blued gun nickeled. Neither will be cheap.

How about a Colt Defender, you have both the stainless slide as well as the aluminum frame. Very light weight for carry too.

Me neither. I don't know why a company would bother nickel-coating stainless steel parts.
