Looking to add a 380 but which one?

Another big point for the Makarov. It is easy to detail strip. When I got mine the trigger was awful. I detailstriped it and used a green pad to polish all mating surfaces (NOT THE SEAR). When I was done I had a better feelngaction than some much more expensive guns that I have handled.

Another to consider is the Kahr CT380 - larger than the CW380 & LCP, but still pretty small & very thin. A comfortable shooter, but the slide can be hard to rack. Priced under $300:

Since the OP isn't going to do the CCW thing, a pocket 380 isn't the way to go.

If the OP is just getting a .380 for pleasure shooting, don't. Most .380 pistols are small and aren't a whole lot of fun to shoot. Get a 9mm, cheaper ammo and comes in sizes that are fun to shoot.

I really like my LCP, but it sucks to shoot. Feels like holding an explosion. The really great quality about the LCP is concealability.

In that case I would recommend a Full Size .380. Locking breech offerings include the PK380 by Walther, the 1911-380 by Browning, and the M&P EZ by Smith and Wesson. If a person is open to Blowback pistols then the Beretta 84/85 come to mind along withe Zenith MC-14.

I sometimes consider a Beretta, particularly as the police turn-ins are under $400. I just don't see any role for one, which is what holds me off. Right now I would rather add more black powder.
