I deleted the bogus link and all the quotes of it. Let's wait for an official announcement from a trusted source before we bury Paul.
Agreed. You beat me to the post, but it's a about 9:45 in.Sad to hear him say that might be the last time we see him om video again.

You know. He is really an inspiration. Think about it. The man may only have days left to live and he's out on the range. I've seen my elders pass, and some had to give up their passions months or even years ahead of their last days.

People overuse 'laugh out loud' these days, but I literally laughed out loud at that. My wife peeked in from the kitchen and asked what could be so funny in 'one of those gun videos you watch'...."If you are trained, you will do what you're trained to do. If you're untrained, you'll flop around like a fish." Paul Harrell
I'm a little late to the game, but yeah, he posted a 15 minute "Channel Update" 5 months ago stating that he has Pancreatic cancer. Then, this morning, he posted a sub one minute video today stating "the time I have left...has become very short" and introduces his brother. It's a sad day in the guntuber world. If you look at his channel, he asn't posted anything in a month until today. Cancer takes a lot out of a person.
He was recently nominated for Best Outdoorsman and Most Likely To Survive The Apocalypse for this year's Gundie Awards. I hope he wins them both.
Gunblast.com on YT went through this a few years ago, and his brother took over the channel. It's good but not the same. Not to detract from Harrell's brother, but it won't be the same.
Here are links to the two videos I mentioned:

Don’t forget the new and improved high tech fleece bullet stop!I might have to recreate a meat, orange, denim simulation in his honor!
There was a push this week by some fellow guntubers to get Paul to 1 million subscribers. It was achieved this morning. Such a touching moment to me. You can tell it was hitting Aaron@AR a little close to home in his video. I think Paul was one of the first none entertaining guntubers I subscribed to 3 or 4 years ago. I hope we can see some folks fly out and give Paul his golden play button from YT and see Paul 1 more time on camera

As one who makes youtube content... one (good) video every 10 days is A LOT of work. I'm lucky if I can do one a month. Paul's content is almost always informative, well-researched, well-presented, and accurate, and he's a great on-camera personality. From what I've seen, his brother isn't, and I doubt he'll get the following Paul had. But Paul's legacy online will live on as long as YouTube allows that kind of content. I've seen every thing he's ever done, including his Thanksgiving specials which are very long (just Paul camp cooking and spinning yarns). It just occurred to me, he only has 407 videos total on YT. His oldest video if from 11 years ago. Think about that for a moment. An average of 37 videos per year, or one video every ten days. Slow and steady wins the race, I guess. He has obviously earned a lot of respect and admiration in the firearms community, and did it with those seemingly paltry numbers.
My intention was not to either disparage or detract from Harrell's work but rahter to point out that he has been about as successful as larger channels with his smaller presence. As one who makes youtube content... one (good) video every 10 days is A LOT of work.
