Love my 32's

Sold the Walther 32.acp, but found some I frame S&W revolvers, one of which is a rare 6" target version that someone on the S&W forum wanted more than I did- but it shot clover leafs with my hand loads. Still have a 4" shooter that is fun to shoot. No recoil, cheaper to load than shooting .22lr, what's not to like?

My Single Seven was ordered in July from Lipsey's, came Thursday. Sure is pretty, shooting it tomorrow. Got my SSM 32 H&R about 30 years ago, picked up a Charter 32 mag and a Taurus 327 snub last summer. Now just need a rifle. Can load cast for less than the elusive .22.

Believe the Single Seven is a winner!

My second Single Seven, a 7 1/2, is paid for. Just have the 10 day wait now.
I don't believe how many guys are buying more than 1. The 5 1/2 is quite a shooter, with almost anything.
This is the 32-20 for the 21 st century. Factory 100 gr. loads are in the mid 1400s, and the 85s must really be cooking. This round was made for hand loading, straight walled cases, small pistol primers, and five types of cartridges to choose from.
I had a 30 carbine Blackhawk , it was very flat shooting, but huge ang quite loud. The 30 carbine can be tricky to re-load and poor bullet selection. Sold it when the Korean war surplus ammo dried up.
The 32-20 is a venerable old cartridge, but you can only shoot 32-20 in a 32-20. Straight walled cases are best for revolvers as well as reloading.:)

I am fortunate to have a Ruger SP101 in 327 Federal Magnum, bought for more than MSRP but before prices really got crazy. I have a 5.5" Single Seven on order, paid for on July 2. I may get a refund and grab one off auction at about the same price delivered. How Lipsey's fills orders is disturbing in that they don't seem to know or care which guns are actually presold and deserve priority. Meanwhile, unsold guns are popping up regularly.

I ordered mine in early September and just got called today that its in. Was thinking I had another few months to go based on other posts. I wonder if the volume the dealership does has any bearing on delivery. I also chose a dealer in my area who Lipsey's said was one of their dealers (listed on their webpage).

I know I want to get a Walther PP in .32 ACP (to go along with my token Colt 1903). But for revolvers, I haven't found one I'd like to get into.

I reload but I haven't found a good revolver to get excited about. Ruger seems to be the only ones running around offering .327 revolvers so maybe I'll plop down on one of those in a couple of years (when they'll be gone or worth their weight in gold).

FIE

I have two .32 revolvers, a .32 S&W Harrington & Richardson top break in rough shape that I don't have a picture of and this late '60s FIE seven shot .32 S&W Long.

I know that the quality isn't the best but it actually shoots fairly well and my wife really likes shooting it, recoils about like a .22LR.

I think that I paid around $35 for it a few years ago (that included a part box of ammo).
