Just curious what is the most common method is within the group
Not a shield, but I use the sear disconnect on all three m&p pistols as two have magazine safeties. We treat them all as if they didn't.Just curious what is the most common method is within the group
No, but (I think) it will when you insert the magazine.Question: if you use the lever does it reset automatically when you reinstall the slide?
I always use the lever as described in the owners manual.
You talking about the sear deactivation lever or the disassembly lever?Just remember to make sure the little lever is still down when you try to reinstall the slide.

If the gun has a magazine safety, you must use the lever. Otherwise the trigger does not move the sear.I pull the trigger on mine... Most other poly semiautos carried by millions of civilians, L.E., and military require you do the same.... I don't believe it's necessary to mess with the lever...
Ah... Must be an non standard M&P from MA? With normal M&Ps, It's not necessary IMHO.If the gun has a magazine safety, you must use the lever. Otherwise the trigger does not move the sear.
Actually, mine did come from MA, but they were an option like the external safety. MA did require the the mag safety. I no longer live in MA, (I escaped), but I still like the pistol.Ah... Must be an non standard M&P from MA? With normal M&Ps, It's not necessary IMHO.
