Hi all, hoping some of the more experienced Garand enthusiasts can help me on this one.
Ok. So I am at the range yesterday. 1st Garand and I load an enbloc. Clip ejected after 7 rounds. Turning the rifle on its side I notice the clip latch pin has walked itself forward probably a kinetic result of recoil. Anyway, it disengaged from the rear part of the receiver causing the assembly to come loose which ejected the enbloc. Forgive me if my articulation is unclear. Anyway, put it aside.
Question is, anyone seen this? My thinking is to just replace the entire clip latch assembly but if there is another easier fix, I'd love to hear about it from those of you who know. Would like to get back out on the range with it as quickly as possible.
