I didn't want to hijack the M1A thread going on so I figured I would start my own.
Can you still get New Polytech M14, or any other M14 besides the SA M1As? I am just looking for a shooter and don't need something like the M1A.

They are out there, just need to hit the pavement and put in work. My last Chinese M14 was $800, 12 magazines, 2.5K rounds, a decent sling and a couple of ammo cans. I just sent it off to Tejas to Warbirds.

Are you coming to the 1500 in Indy this weekend? May be able to snag one there.

Oh hell I forgot about the Indy 1500! If I get my Bonus check this week I may well head up there and get one. If not I will head up there and just Drool!

Look for an IDE import, they are said to be the best right out of the box.

Hopefully you'll stumble upon something like this stack of Polys in Indy. Good luck!

The Polytech's and Norincos are no longer imported into the U.S. and haven't been for about 10 years or so now.

They are still out there, but the prices are going up. Just hunt around and see what you see.

Personally, I'd look for a good deal on either a SA or a Polytech and just get whichever I found first at a good price.

[NAPOLEON DYNAMITE] LUCKYYY!! [/NAPOLEON DYNAMITE]

Isn't Norinco supposed to open a location in the US and start building the M-14 again? I was all excited but haven't heard anything for a while about that, and their website hasn't changed much, just some drum magazine.

It looked that way for a while. Long enough for me to get my hopes up, but I'm now to the point where I'll believe it when I see it.

Norinco

Shung were the M14 Norinco decent guns ?

Yes, Norinco M14s are also fine weapons with a slightly less polished exterior finish though.
Both my MK14 Mod 0 and Mod 1 SEI rifles are built on heel stamped Norinco receivers.

Shung thx for the tip. We still have some M14 Nork around. will try-

Can you post a picture or two of what you have available there?

Thanks :)

This is one of my Norinco receivers
