So I've finally made up my mind to buy an M1A and want to go with the LRB action with the added rail so I can add a scope.

What I'm looking at are stocks, sure I can just buy it with the standard wood which retains the original look of the rifle. Which is great and I've always wanted just for the look itself but this is where other options come up.

I really like the look of the JAE 100 and Archangel stocks, I looked at the Sage EBR but it's as appealing as putting a scope on a derringer pistol. The next thing is price, the Archangel looks almost identical to the JAE stock. What's the deal with that?

I haven't read everything on the JAE but there seems to be some features that the Archangel might not have? One is an internal buffer or some such thing? Both have adjustable cheekrests and length of pull, rail for bipods...

So, who has one of these stocks or has had both and can offer reasons for buying one over the other. That and If they're worth having over a stock wood one.

SAGE is what most of the EBR guys tend to go with. The Archangel stock is likely going to be more style than function - I just can't get too excited about anything Promag makes. JAE is a popular option, too.

For me, my LRB is in a USGI walnut stock, but I didn't mount optics on mine (300 yards and shorter - the usual maximum distance of any kind of shot in the woods of Mississippi, are plenty fine for good irons).
