Magazine Choice: Ruger PC Carbine

I would lean towards Glock mags. A lot of places like LAPG, Aim Surplus, and Brownells are selling G19 Magpul GL9 mags for about 14 bucks and change right now. So you can grab those mags easily and cheaply.

Dredging up this not too old thread to add a note about changing the safety to left hand usage...

The Ruger PC Carbine *does* take the same lefty safety that is sold for the 10/22. Not as good as Ruger making it reversible of course.

I started with Ruger mags which worked fine but then changed mine to aftermarket Glock mags (even though I don't own a Glock)
because they are less expensive than Ruger mags. (and since I only get 10 round ones in CA I need more)

Both seem to work fine in my gun.

If you are going to use Glock mags and will be buying new get Glock OEM mags. They just work. I have some aftermarket Glock pattern mags and some work great and others are useless.

The MagPul Pmags I have will expand when loaded to capacity making them difficult to insert.

The last ETS mags I bought had really weak springs.

YMMV

I use SR9 mags in my Ruger PCCs, but have an AR9 that uses Glock mags. I have found that OEM Glock mags work better.
