I guess in prison his D.I. can't get to him to remove the stain on the honor of the corps.

Is THAT how Marines are taught to handle a handgun--curved wrist gangsta style to "push" the bullets?

Didn't think so. How'd he make corporal without firearms qualification?

LOL.

I knew Marines in the service who "stained" the "honor" of the Marine Corps more by being in than committing crimes. Still, probably a good shoot. Im betting Bad Conduct d/c... Dishonorable is probably a little much.

Oceanside is seedy. Always has been. Probably always will be. When I served, back before 9/11, they hated Marines there. It was a miserable, nasty, rude place to be. I never met a single proprietor who was a former Marine... then again I didnt visit every store. And given how rude they always were, I am certainly not surprised to see a certain level of aggression leveled between Marines and civilians....

Guess he was just rotten to the Corps! :what::eek::evil::evil::evil:

Just because he's a Marine (or soldier, sailer, or airman) doesn't mean he isn't capable of being a violent criminal. I ought to know -- I put away more than my share of felon soldiers in my 19+ years as an Army CID Special Agent!

That area of town has been declining for years. He should have known there were a whole lot of people in the area not worth messing with. He found two.

I have said a dozen times here...scumbags exits in all careers (educator, LEO, fireman, lawyer, judge, politician, etc) because they exist throughout society. It isn't the occupation, it's the scumbag.

I'm not so sure I believe any of this story. If he was a REAL Marine, the shop would have been rubble, with an American flag planted on top.

Quality

We all have to remembe that in today's military the overall quality of those enlisting is not quite what it should be. The education level along with entry test scores have all been lowered. Now don't get me wrong, I a truely grateful for the service these guys are providing. I'm retired Army myself. I am still affiliated with the army for my day job and I see the difference. Besides, there is always going to be the "bad apple" no matter the time frame or organization.

Huh, the place sounds familiar. Might have been in there a few months back.

Anyways, to the poster who said Oceanside is seedy, I won't disagree. the few hours I spent there hasn't left me wanting to go back.

oohrah mons meg

I still have a hard time believing this is a Marine, but maybe so, digress. I'm not calling it a "good shoot", I'll call it a "decent shoot"... a good shoot would be one the BG didn't walk away from.

Mandatory 20 years, used a gun in a crime. If he'd pulled the trigger, he'd be in for life. I kind of like that law. Got what he deserved.
