Just got a nice $&W 6906. There is a strange marking on the barrel. The stamped “S” and “P” are under the barrel which is like my other 6906. But this barrel has the following stamp “CDI SCTVL KY.” S&W thinks that it may be another manufacturer but the “S” and “P” as well as the “9MM PARABELLUM” indicate S&W. Can’t be an import mark and there are no other marks in addition to logo and S/M. Did a lot of Google searches. Help would be appreciated . Thanks, I just found the thread on the S&W Forum. Guess that answers my question.

I found a thread on S&W forum which declares that to represent Cole Distibuting, Inc. of Scottsville, KY as applied to reimported Isreali police pistols.

I know its a weird place for an import mark, but......(shrugs).
Good detective work. Interesting markings for sure.

Just curious if your 6906 is an Israel issue, does it have the magazine disconnect? I am sure it could have been ordered without it.

According to S&W it was imported to Israel in 1989. It still has the magazine disconnect (safety). Great pistol …. Put 100 rounds through today.
