Marlin 336 wont feed?

My 1987 marlin 336 is have trouble feeding. The rounds aren't coming out of the mag tube and the carrier is not lifting high enough to chamber the rounds. I took the gun completely apart and couldn't find anything broken. I was at the range when it happened so it could be that something fell out. I saw an old thread about the marlin jam but I don't think Im having that problem. Any Ideas? Thanks!

Make sure all the screws are tight and that the ejector didn't fall down in the works when you took it apart.

Ruger 44Mag, make sure your lifter is properly lubricated, as well as the magazine tube is clean, also the spring inside the tube is intact, and a slight amount of lube. Also check for any obstructions between the lifter and the walls of the receiver.
