Marlin model 783

I have a model 783 Marlin tubular magazine .22Rem mag which will not eject a fired or unfired cartridge except for the last round (which ejects properly). Would appreciate any info or advice on how to correct. Thanks.

Is the problem ejecting or extracting. The extractor is a spring type deal that snaps over the bolt, the ejector is a wire spring below the bolt.
