Married Guys: Does your wife shoot with you?

My wife recently started showing an interest and got her first pistol for her birthday thais past year. PPK/s. She's been to the range with me a few times since and wishes to go more often but her schedule doesn't allow it much. She's shown a great deal of interest in training and wants to take classes and eventually obtain her CCW.

About once a year I can talk my wife into shooting my AR-15, she learned how to shoot an M16A1 while she was in the service in the early eighties. Other than that she really isn't interested in guns. She figures she could really mess somebody's day up with the AR if she needs to and since I do not intend to test that theory, I just let think what she wants.

yup she has her own Sprindfield XD in 40 s&w likes to go with me to get in some range time. She also goes with me to watch me shoot USPSA ;)

My wife is very anti-gun mostly due to being scared of them.

I've ordered a Taurus Tracker .22 (placed order 4 weeks ago and it's still not in) with the hope that it'll be so mild to shoot that she'll change her stance on things. Well mostly it was as a cheap way for me to practice DA revolver trigger but the wife aspect was an added bonus

A fullsized 6.5" revolver shooting .22's will likely feel like a bb gun.

Married guys. Do you and your wife both participate in shooting sports?
What does she shoot?

All the time. We haven't gotten into shooting sports yet. Not enough time between work, home improvements, and building a new shop. Soon, that will change.

She shoots all of our guns. Mil-surp rifles, pistols, shotgun, etc. It's a lifestyle that we love to share...

41 Caliber Sex Change

She did when we were married. :neener:

It was something to see my 5' 2", 115 pound wife fire my 8" Model 57 (41 mag).

Most people aim for the Kill zone; not her. She aimed straight for the nay-nays.:what:

I'm glad she was never shooting AT me!:D

Yes, she shoot with me. Does not go as often as I do, but still gets out with me when time allows.

She mostly shoots the Ruger MKII, but has banged away up to a 44 mag Ruger SA

Yes, but rarely. She's not one for long guns due to tendinitis in her shoulder nor does she like the recoil of a 45. She recently picked out a Beretta U22 Neos which seems to be more her speed.

Yes. Took a while to get her to go to the range with me, but we go when we have time.

She's partial to my KISS carine, a 9mm AR15. She's not exactly partial to it, she's claimed it as hers.

My wife likes shooting .22's, 243 for deer hunting, 20ga. shotgun, and .38 Colt Detective Special that belonged to my dad. She likes 9mm semi's but she gets a lot of stovepipes because she limp wrists the pistol.

Yes, we shoot together.

She goes sometimes..she won't go as much as i would like but she does. She got herself a 22 pistol with pink grips  that broke when she took it to the range so I bought her custom made grips and she is so happy now. And now she wants a 32 Beretta she saw. (she won't shoot over 380, yet :D ) With patience we can make a lot, just take it slow and you'll see. Happy Hunting

No, she does not shoot with me, nor with someone else, nor by herself, nor at me.:D

Yes indeed. My wife is always ready to head to the gravel pit, or the woods, or the lake. This is the most shootinest, huntinest, fishinest woman I have ever seen. She just received a Remington 660 in 243 for Christmas. Her collection is beginning to surpass mine. Now if I could just get her to do the reloading and gun cleaning I'd have it made.

21 years of marriage and I think she went with me once. Started giving me static about both the time and money, so I gave up...ON HER.

Very happily divorced for about three years and I have a great GF that loves shooting.

We try to shoot sporting clays every other weekend. She has a camo pink Beretta 3901. She shoots sporting clays occasionally without me.

She goes to the range with me occasionally and shoots everything I own, except my KT P3AT. She really likes my Bushmaster and is hinting about wanting her own EBR.

Been married over 4 years, and my wife would'nt think of going shooting with me for the first 2. Finally went and that's the short story of how I "LOST" a #4 enfield and S&W 67!!! The 38sp I understood, But she loves the 303 brit! Here I thought she would like 22's....

My wife shoots, but not nearly as often as me. She is familiar with guns. I wish I could get her to shoot more often. It would be nice to have someone to cover your back that you trust 100% to do it...

I've been trying to get my wife to come shooting with me but she doesn't like to shoot any firearms that I have. She says they are all too heavy (1911s) or hurt her shoulder (M1A).

I think I'm going to get her a Walther P22, maybe she'll like to shoot that.

Yes she does and she can out shoot me any day of the week ( I attribute this to not having to deal with a heart beat ) but I can shoot for longer periods of time. I bought her a high dollar 22cal air gun to protect her garden and fruit trees. Now no possum, squirrel, racoon, or starlings are safe. In regards to my reloading habit, she only tells me to buy more supplies before the price goes up. She also painted the house.

I really tell her everything despite my name here.

she shoots her kahr k40 that was mine but she has taken for her own now. she dosen't like my xd's, and the 1911 intmedates her. i am trying to break her of that but we'll see.

all her friends though love the mak90

Yup. Been married 30 years and she shoots with me most of the time. She shoots her .243 very well. She owns a .380, too.

When I brought my .460 SW mag home, she even shot that. She can handle the .454's, but says the .460 hurts her wrist and elbow. She shoots most everything I have. Likes scoped rifles best.
