Married Ladies, Do You Carry When Your Husband Doesn't?

I am struggling to think of a time when my wife was armed and I was not. There have been several times when she had her .45ACP (Kimber Pro Carry) and I have only had my KelTec P3AT in my front pocket.

At those times my wife will often joke that she is the only one armed. :D

I'm home sick from work today so I've temporarily got my Slim back while he tries out my pocket .380.

He didn't realize how much STUFF he carries in his pockets until he had to clear one out for the gun. Fortunately, since he works from home he can just leave it on his desk while he tries the experiment rather than finding alternate pockets.

I was delighted to see Rupert Merdock's wife cold cock that jerk that was trying to hit him with a pie. My opinion of her is stellar, my opinion of him took a slight rise for his choice of such a wife. I can't imagine the jerk is sitting in a pub bragging about being cold cocked by a middle-aged woman, perhaps he will avoid areas where women carry more than lipstick in their purses.

Right now neither myself not my husband has our carrying permit, although I'm much closer to it than he is, I've taken the class I just need to get all my stuff sent off, he hasn't taken the class yet and with his schedule who knows when he'll get around to it. Once I get it, I'll carry and he's supportive of the idea.

I have gotten in the habit of carrying at home and on our property. One is to get used to the feel of it but the other is we've had some break ins, always during the day, and since someone tried to get in my house a few months ago I figured it does me much more good on me than put away in the safe, I don't have faith I could get to it fast enough if I needed to. For some reason, while he says he's ok with me getting a permit, he doesn't seem tolike me walking around the house with it, it seems to give him the heebie jeebies
when I pull it out of my pocket to lock it back up. Whatever. I do it anyway and will continue to do so.

My DH and I have established a routine about getting the guns out and putting them back away. We have a particular place with a safe backstop in our bedroom. We always close the door to make sure that unexpected children and pets don't interrupt the process. And we keep well out of each other's way as we take turns holstering/unholstering.

The gun is safe in its lockup. The gun is safe in its holster. That in-between time is the tricky part so we practice intense mindfulness.

Tell him to deal with it and get over it. Seems your more comfortable with carry than he is.
