BTW, anybody been to Select Fire lately?

Why would anyone want to? Besides to use the range that is.

I think I have a good idea who the guy at OT was too. I'll have to try and find Accurate Pawn someday now too, although I don't know if the wife will even let me look now. I just bought a Luger I found :D

Ohen Cepel,

Sorry to hear that you had such a negative experience with On Target. I agree with Spot77 that you should really give them a second chance by talking to Ed. I can tell you personally that he has gone way beyond the call of duty to help me in my search for a 1911 and I will almost certainly get it there once they start putting the Kimbers back on the shelf.

The problem may be that the guys working the floor aren't given a great deal of give and take when it comes to the prices and so forth. I get the feeling that whoever owns the place makes the rules and then goes home.......of all the times I've been in there in the last 18 months, I've never seen the owner.

As far as the poor service hoisted upon you by the JIQ (jerk in question), don't take any offense.....he's like that all of the time and I purposely avoid going there when he's on his shift. Ed and Jay are the guys to talk to if you have concerns or questions.

BTW if you REALLY want the worst gun shops in MD, PM me and I'll tell you what bad really means.......

And also, what shop in the White Marsh area is everybody talking about?

It's not in the White Marsh area. The Shop is called White Marsh Arms and is located in Reisterstown. The kept the White Marsh name because that's the name the usedwhen they only sold at gun shows before they bought a store front. The same people own both Continental Arms and White Marsh Arms.

Let us know if the CZs pan out for Continental.....that CZ97 seems to be calling me, and I bet my wife would appreciate one of those Kimbers

I'll keep you inmind, I'm going to be checking into the cost of CZ's this week. Since Sig isn't selling to MD just yet, I think I'm gonna order me a 85;) And when you're ready for the Kimber let me know and I'll order what ever model you want.

Well, traditionally, there would be NO reason at all to go there....I can't even tolerate going there to use the range.

It's been so long since I've been there, I guess I was hoping somebody would tell me that they've changed. They're SO CLOSE to my house, and they're right behind Wal Mart (get ammo, go shoot!)

Is the MD State Police Handgun Roster & its review board still in place? I never quite figured out what they did, but I was told by someone at a shop that the Kel-tec P32 was denied placement on the list because they considered it a 'saturday night special' and wouldn't be allowed for sale in the state. Any truth to this?

The owners are CPO's and lawyers who set up the place as a place to shoot, and as a place to put money. They do maintain tight control over priceing and procedures, though they are almost never, ever there. This from those that work there. It does help to explain things.
